Open every day except Tuesday, with late hours until 10 PM on Thursdays and Fridays. Last entry is thirty minutes before closing.
All ticket prices are set and sold by the museum directly. This page is informational.
When the museum is open.
Closed Tuesdays. Last entry 30 minutes before closing. Closed New Year's Day, Patriots' Day, Fourth of July, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
Standard rates.
Rates set by the museum. Members enter free at any opening hour. Discounted and free-admission programmes — including Boston students on Family Days — run year-round.
Free and discounted days.
Programmes that make the museum accessible at low or no cost throughout the year.
Third Thursday.
One Thursday a month, evening admission drops to $5. Late opening, live music in the courtyard, and pop-up programs across the wings.
Boston Family Days.
Free admission for Boston students and their families on the first and second Sundays of each month.
Memorial Day Open House.
Free general admission on Memorial Day, with special programs honoring the day.
